From our Intern: Thoughts on Afghanistan

The Young Republican Federation of Alabama is deeply saddened by the loss of 12 servicemen while trying to assist in the evacuation of Afghan and American citizens from Kabul. Our Prayers are with their families and the families of the injured.

While keeping those families in our hearts and minds we, as a nation, must recognize why this terrorist attack occurred. President Biden has sat on his hands for days while the destruction of Afghanistan has played out on live TV. President Biden’s inability to respond to the events occurring in Afghanistan are horrifying and only prove his dereliction of duty, but it's not only President Biden's dereliction of duty, it's his administration as well. This administration has proven, over the past couple days, that they are willing to surrender and let Americans die at the hands of a terrorist regime. Not only has President Biden allowed the Taliban to regain power and seize American military equipment, but he has also given ISIS a way to gain recognition on the world stage for the first time in years. It has become clear that President Biden is content with allowing The United States to lose power on the world stage, that is not the leader we, as a country, need. The United States needs a Commander and Chief who will lead on the world stage and protect ALL Americans at home and abroad.
